A Book, A Man, and a Costume. Oh, and Bullwinkle.

There must be something in the air, or the water, here in North Carolina. Mari’s got no muse, another friend, the Noelle half of writer Chloe Harris, has just got nothing, and I got no mojo either. What on earth is going on with us? It’s got to be aliens sucking the creativity directly from our brains and into their frontal lobes. So this is going to be one of those all-over-the-place blogs.

First, I had a new book come out! Yeah, I was surprised, too. lol I knew this anthology was coming out, I just didn’t know when. AGED TO PERFECTION is an anthology of stories from the Oh, Yum! older woman/younger man series from Ellora’s Cave. My story A Lady In Waiting is in here. I’m very pleased to see it in print at last. For those who are unfamiliar with the story, it’s my first m/f romance! ;-P Definitely a new and wild experience for me. But I love this story. It finaled in the Passionate Plume this year for best novella, so check it out if you haven’t read it yet.

I love Daniel Craig. I found this a few months ago, and I’ve been meaning to show it to you all on the blog. Anyway, I love Daniel Craig for the obvious reasons (I’ve got to show the money shot here), but also for his ability to laugh at himself. That’s what makes this bit a classic.

And that’s it. That’s all I’ve got today. Oh, except I bought a costume for the Psychedelic Soiree at Romanticon. That’s Ellora’s Cave’s romance convention in October. The first night party is a 60’s-70’s theme, and Mari and I are sponsoring a dance contest with lots of nifty prizes. And I bought a costume. Very Austin Powers. Or fembot, actually. Those who know me well know this is a momentous occasion, because I don’t do costumes. But this time I’m going to give it a try. Mari shamed me into it.

And….That’s All Folks!

Chicken A La Carte is an inspiring short film by Ferdinand Dimadura, produced in 2005. How fortunate most of us are, to have food served readily on our tables hot from the stove. And yet some of us have often taken the food for granted. We have so often reminded our young ones to be grateful for the food served to them and yet we are [...]

Love is Beautiful

Love is a foolish game? Just like what Oscar Wilde said, “Life is one fool thing after another where as love is two fool things after each other.” To me, love has always been beautiful and will always be beautiful. I have people telling me that they do not want to get into love again because it hurts too much and they [...]

An Inspiring Dance

This is a truly amazing video sent to me by a friend. What could a guy who lost one leg while still a child and a girl who lost her arm in a car accident do? After watching them, I would say almost anything! Their disabilities did not stop them from dancing. Through this inspiring dance, they not only shown strength, but also shown great [...]

When It becomes too Late …

I do not really like this story but I am sharing with you because it can serve as a lesson for all of us. The moral of the story is similar to the other story, “A Special Date” which I shared with you the other day - that certain things cannot be put off till tomorrow. If you love someone, let them know today that you love them [...]

Wordless Wednesday: Leopard Flower

More Wordless Wednesday This was taken with Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot Camera Phone in the Singapore HortPark, marked as Leopard Flower and origin from China. In Wikipedia, it was stated that it is used in Chinese villages for its medicinal values. The first thing I saw in the car park of HortPark was this beautiful flower. And there were [...]
